Global economic challenges are turning the automotive industry on its head, and in new directions. Surviving these uncharted waters demands new approaches and new partners, as traditional business methods can no longer deliver the results of yesteryear. A complete transformation in the generation and application of new ideas is needed. A revolution in the business of research and development will allow Canadian industry and academia the ability to jointly take their work from research to application.

To encourage this transformation, the Government of Canada has created Automotive Partnership Canada (APC), an initiative that will support significant, collaborative R&D activities to benefit the entire Canadian automotive industry.
